HANA BetaAI Clinical Scribe
AI-assisted clinical documentation, built into your patient workflow. With consent, HANA records the consultation, drafts a structured note for you to review, and helps you carry the visit through to summaries and the actions that follow — inside HealthAccess, alongside the patient or client record you already work in.
From consultation to clinical record and follow-up
HANA is the AI assistant built into HealthAccess. HANA Clinical Scribe is AI-assisted clinical documentation that works inside the HealthAccess patient and client workflow — used by medical practices, aesthetic practices, allied health practitioners and wellness and therapy practices alike.
The consultation is the start of the work, not the end of it. HANA carries it through to the record and to whatever has to happen next — with the practitioner reviewing and verifying before anything is saved.
Consent
The patient or client confirms consent before any recording begins.
Record
The consultation is recorded through HANA.
Transcript
A transcript you can open and read back.
Structured draft
HANA drafts a structured note against a visit template.
Review & verify
You read it, correct anything, and verify the result.
Save & act
The verified note saves to Visit Clinical Notes, with tasks and follow-ups from it.
Your consultation doesn’t end with a transcript
Most AI scribes stop there. Because HANA works inside HealthAccess, it can draw on what is already recorded against the person in front of you — and hand back more than a document.
Can reference
Can help you draft
Everything HANA drafts is a starting point, not a finished note. HANA doesn’t decide what is clinically significant, and nothing reaches the record until you verify it.
What HANA does with the consultation
A structured draft note
HANA organises the consultation into a draft note against a relevant visit template, ready for you to review, edit and verify.
Summaries with context
HANA can assist with a summary drawing on relevant information already in the patient or client’s HealthAccess record, so a returning person isn’t treated as a blank page.
What happens next
A consultation creates more than a note. HANA can help turn information from the consultation into tasks and follow-ups, connecting the documentation with the HealthAccess workflows your practice already uses.
More on clinical charting and records.
HANA assists. You stay in control.
Every piece of clinical content HANA produces is a draft, and the practitioner decides what happens to it.
- HANA drafts — it does not diagnose or make clinical decisions
- You review the draft against what actually happened in the consultation
- You edit and correct anything that needs it
- You verify before the note is saved to Visit Clinical Notes
- The clinical record remains your responsibility
Consent comes first
HANA Scribe Consent confirms that the patient or client has consented before any recording starts. The consultation is then recorded, and anything HANA drafts is verified by the practitioner before it is saved.

Frequently asked questions
What is HANA?
HANA is the AI assistant built into HealthAccess. It is not a separate product or a separate login — it works inside the HealthAccess platform your practice already uses.
What is an AI clinical scribe, and what does HANA Clinical Scribe do?
An AI clinical scribe uses a recording of a consultation to help produce the write-up instead of the practitioner typing it afterwards. HANA Clinical Scribe does that inside HealthAccess, and also helps with summaries and with the actions the consultation leads to.
Does HANA save clinical notes automatically?
No. HANA produces a draft. The practitioner reviews it, edits anything that needs correcting, and verifies it before the note is saved to Visit Clinical Notes.
Can HANA use Medical History and previous notes?
HANA can reference relevant information already recorded in the patient or client’s HealthAccess record, including Medical History and previous clinical or visit notes, to assist with summaries and context. It does not independently decide what is clinically significant.
Does HANA replace clinical judgement?
No. HANA does not diagnose, recommend treatment or make clinical decisions. It assists with documentation, and the practitioner remains responsible for the clinical record.
Is patient consent required before recording?
Yes. HANA Scribe Consent confirms the patient or client has consented before any recording begins.
Can I access the consultation transcript?
Yes. The transcript is available to the practitioner within the HANA workflow for that consultation.
Does HANA only suit medical practices?
No. HANA works with the HealthAccess consultation and visit workflow, which is used by medical and aesthetic practices as well as somatologists, allied health practitioners, therapists and wellness practices. Whether your records refer to patients or to clients, the workflow is the same.
